I will include the list of places which in my opinion shouldn’t be missed for the travelers visiting India for the first time.

Personally, my first journey to India wasn’t so well prepared due to lack of proper organisation and lack of reliable information about the country or just negative opinions which I’d came across online before coming to this extremely interesting country.

I came first time to India for 2 weeks starting from Delhi and Agra and then went to Goa for a long relax and state exploration. My second time was 2, 5 weeks - Delhi, Rajasthan and Goa. My third time was just a decision to stay and live in India which was connected with moving out from Poland and starting my life in Delhi. I’ve been living in India for more than 5 years now running a travel agency Paylesstoursindia (www.paylesstoursindia.com) so the information I am going to share with is my experience from my long travelling around the country.

Here is the list of the top places which can’t be missed during you I guess 2 or 3 week journey for the first time India visitors.

There are so many interesting places in this country however probably everyone starts from Delhi due to the arrival point. I will place below the routes which I think could be called Quintessence of North India as well as the other routes which is also really exciting and can by done during 2 or 3 weeks of travelling for the first time taking into account Delhi as an arrival port. I have included the recommended number of days which can be spent in every place however, the time can be extended if you have more time or fancy staying longer. The mode of transport mentioned here is also recommended for those who want to save a lot of time and see as much as possible during 2 or 3 week journey.

1 Route is Delhi (2 days) – Jaipur (2 days)– Agra (1 day) – Orchha and Gwalior (1 day)– Khajuraho (2 days) Varanasi (2 days) - Mumbai (2 days) - Delhi

The route can by done by car with a driver and plane

The route from Khajuraho to Varanasi can be done by train if you want to avoid long time car travel

Varanasi – Mumbai and Mumbai - Delhi by plane

2 Route is Delhi (2 days) Mandawa (1 day) Bikaner (1 day) Jaisalmer (2 days) Jodhpur (1 day) Ranakpur Udaipur (2 days) and Pushkar (1 day) Jaipur ( 2 days) Ranthambore ( 1 day) Agra (1 day) Orchha (1 day) Khajuraho (2 days) Varanasi (2 days) Delhi

This route can be done by car with a driver and from Varanasi to Delhi by plane – the most comfortable and fastest

You can also choose train journey between Khajuraho Varanasi and Varanasi Delhi – it is less comfortable option but you on the other hand can try train journey

3 Route Delhi (2 days) Pushkar (2 days) Udaipur (2 days) Jaipur (2 days) Ranthambore (1 days) Agra (1 day) Orchha (1 day) Khajuraho (2 days) Varanasi ( 2 days) Delhi

All the route can be done by private car with a driver plus plane Varanasi - Delhi
